I have never owned, or even really ever worn, a pair of western style/cowboy boots, so I was really unsure how to pick a pair for my 2 year old. We picked these based on the brand name (Ropers are good, right?) and we weren’t disappointed overall.
The sizing does seem to run slightly smaller than “true” I think. We purchased to pairs of these. The first pair were a size 7T and they fit fine, but there was definitely no additional room for any length of time for his rapidly growing feet. At the time we bought these a 7T usually provided a little room-to-grow-on. We kept them and he wore them while he could (and he loved them). His grandmother loved them so much she bought him a sz 8T when these no longer fit.
The quality is impeccable. We were really impressed. The distressed leather is really nice and is very similar to some Frye boots his mother owns. This is a very good thing! The price may be a little dissuading to some, but I would highly recommend them – just make sure you go up about a size when you order.
